You are His Messenger!

Paul says that we are ambassadors for Christ’s sake. He is gone, but he has given us the commission now to preach His gospel and do His works in His place! So if you are an ambassador in His place, you will do the same as He did.

Never forget this. You are walking the earth today and you are representing Jesus today! That is why we are called Christians, because we represent Christ! You are His messenger; you are the one bringing healing to people today! Why? Because you are on the earth today, He is not. But He has sent you to be just like Him and do the same things He has done!

Yes, I know, you are thinking, “But I am just a weak little person. I am not like God. I have sin in my life and I am not as holy as Jesus was!”

Every time you want to do something for God Satan always throws the same things at you. He wants you to feel bad about yourself so you are not going to represent Jesus Christ.

This is a great big lie. What you need to know right now regarding healing is that you are His vessel and you are His tool. His vessel, to bring healing to people! You are here instead of Him today and He is living inside of you and healing is in your hands!

Doing the Stuff

I have prayed for many people over the years and not every one has been healed through my prayers. But I have learned something really important in all this time.

First of all, when you pray for somebody for healing, you show compassion to this person. You show that you care. Even if the person is not healed instantly, you have reached out in love to this person and the person feels loved and cared for. Never under estimate this!

We are here to care for each other and carry each others burdens. So you can never be wrong in caring for somebody. Of course not every person wants help. If your help is not wanted and your prayer not asked for, then do not give it. Do not try to give a person something they did not ask for.

But if you see somebody hurting and they want help, then step out and pray for healing! This is the second point that is really important. If you do not learn to step out in faith and just trust the Lord for the “impossible”, you will never see miracles. But Jesus says that nothing is impossible to those who believe!

So just start believing that the Lord is with you here today, wherever you are, and that He wants to use you as His vessel to bring healing. His healing power is with you and if you trust Him and step out, you will start seeing miracles! Yes, it might not always happen, but if you do not start doing the stuff and step out in faith, you will never see faith in action.

Faith is a Muscle

Faith is like a muscle. You must train it. I haven’t been jogging for a long time. The first time I went, I could not even run 500 Meters. I was bombed after a couple of meters and my lungs couldn’t cope anymore. My legs felt like led!

But you know, after a couple of times it got better. I was able to go further and further until I reached the goal I had in mind from the beginning and could jog up the little hill and stand there and enjoy the sight.

It is the same with faith! If you keep on exercising your faith, it will grow! But if you never try and never step out, you will not have much faith. If you start believing in the little things, suddenly when the big things come at you, you will not be moved. By your faith you will move the mountain that stands in your way!

Do you understand what I am saying? I want to really encourage you to step out and start exercising your faith. For God has placed healing in your hands! He is the healer and He lives in you and wants to use you as His vessel to heal people.

But if you never exercise and use what the Lord has given you, it will never happen. If you keep on going and exercising the gift the Lord has given, it will grow and you will be able to do mighty things for the Lord and bring healing to this hurting world.

Healing Only for Believers?

No, healing is not only for believers. Although James speaks about it in his letter, we can see that Jesus was not speaking about the church when he sent the disciples out into “all the world”. No, He was sending them to the people that did not know the Lord. For the church did not even exist at that time.

You will find that especially with non believers, you will have even better results in praying for them. Because the Lord wants to reveal himself to them and draw them to himself! And often He will use signs and miracles for this.

Yes, He will use the Evangelists mainly in signs and wonders. But as a believer you have this same power and the Lord will always use who is available to Him. If you are available, He will use you to bring healing and do signs and wonders and perform miracles!

How to Go About It?

It is very easy. You see a need and you offer a solution! May be somebody at work has a problem or is sick. Why not just talk to them and let them know that you are a Christian and to offer prayer for healing?

“Oh no, I am scared to do that!”

Yes, I am sure you are scared to do that! It takes a bit of boldness to step out and just offer prayer. But you know what… you might be the one that makes the difference in their life! You are the one person that is there at the right moment. And if you are not going to offer help, they will find their help elsewhere, maybe in the occult or other places!

It is not that hard! You just want to help! You will be surprised how often people are just waiting for someone to offer help. Even if they refuse to accept help, you showed that you care and that you want to reach out in love. Perhaps for the first time you took a stand and told them that you are a Christian and that you pray in the Name of Jesus.

Do not worry what people think. Just try and keep doing what the Word of God tells you to do and that is, lay hands on the sick …and they will recover!

The great thing if they accept your offer to pray is that you can share the gospel with them. You can show them how to receive Jesus and speak healing to them and they will receive a mighty touch of the Lord!

Healing is such a door opener for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus healed many people and through these signs and miracles and healings, many people started believing in Him and following Him. You never know what a simple prayer for healing can lead to!

I just really want to encourage you to start exercising healing and just be bold and step out in faith! You will be amazed what joy it brings to you, when you can start flowing out in healing and spread the love of the Lord Jesus to people through that!

It is such a reward if you can be a vessel for the Lord! There is not only joy for the people that get healed, but you yourself will be full of joy as well. It is so great seeing the Lord move and releasing His power. When you flow out, you will be filled yourself!

So just get out there and do the stuff! Lay your hands on the sick and they will recover! Healing is in your hands and it is up to you to step out boldly and release it.
