How to deliver the gospel in your daily life?

This is a help for you if you want to obey Jesus commandment to go out into all the World, preach the Good News and lead people to their saviour Jesus Christ!

You have a burning fire within you to do this, you wish to do it, but you do not really know yet HOW?

I will give you three keys here, that will help you to go out and preach the Good News to everybody you meet. For Jesus says that you can do that in the middle of your daily business! (Matthew 10:7) Go and preach the good news to everybody you meet!

These three keys are very simple but powerful! As you hold them in your hand you will see the glory of God manifesting through your life and people will get saved!

May you be filled with his abundant joy as you read this and experience the dynamis power of the Holy Spirit afresh!

The three keys are:

• Availability
• Walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit
• Preaching the Gospel

Availability

Availability is our will and attitude to say yes to the commandment of Jesus to go out into all the World and preach the good news. Jesus said this in three of the gospels:

Matthew 28:18-20
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore, and disciple all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you: and, look, I am with you always, right until the end of the age.”

Mark 16:15-16
“And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized will be saved; but he that does not believe will be condemned.”

Luke 24:47
“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

Are you available today?
Are you available now?
Are you available tomorrow?
Are you available in two weeks?

The question is, are you available for the Lord all the time? He has released you from your former life in darkness and you said, “Lord, I want to give you my life, my whole life!” So now you are a bondslave. That is a slave out of love, not out of obligation. You love your master and that is why you serve him.

You are also his friend. Jesus says in John 15:14-15:

“You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. From now on I do not call you servants; for the servant does not know not what his lord is doing: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”

As a friend of Jesus you want to be where he is. You want to walk in his footsteps all the time, because to be with him is the best thing on earth!

You can be available all the time. You can look into the eyes of your master and wait for him to give you further instruction. You can do this as you walk your way. Notice what Jesus says in Matthew 10:7.

“And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

I tell you this is the most rewarding, most exiting lifestyle that there is!

Be available, make a decision in your heart now and if you have done this before, but need it again, do it afresh today! If you are available everything is possible and the Lord can speak to you and tell you what to do. He will speak to you and tell you what to say to this person in need. He will show you what to pray, how to encourage or lift somebody up… I tell you, you will have such an exciting life, like you would never have dared to dream of! You will see how people will become happy again, how they will be encouraged, warned, uplifted, how they get new hope and receive their hearts desires!

I remember sitting in a restaurant together with my husband during our vacation and we were enjoying the good food. As I was almost finished eating, I started to look around and noticed what kind of people were with us in the room. I got focused on a waiter being busy, running around and looking rather frustrated! Although I was in vacation and enjoying myself, although I spent some quality time with my husband, I reached out to God and prayed in my heart, “Lord, I am available! If you want to use me, use me!”

Very quickly I felt a soft but firm impression in my spirit to go to this waiter and tell him how much God loves him. I waited a bit until we were ready to leave the restaurant and went straight to him. It was a funny situation because he was waiting for his money from two couples and that was the moment I came to him and told him, “Sir, God told me to tell you that he loves you so much!” “Who?” he asked and the guests on the table started to laugh… I responded, “God! He has given his son for you just because he loves you so much! You are loved and accepted!”

He stood there and you could tell that he had never experienced something like this before. He tried to smile a bit and make some fun out of it, but I saw that he was deeply moved. A last smile from me filled with the fathers love and we left the place.

This is something you will experience again and again! You will experience healings because you pray for people that are in need. You will experience salvation because you talk to people who are lonely and desperate and hopeless. You will experience miracles and signs from God to demonstrate his power because you just step out and start to speak to people. You will experience people who start to believe that there is a God who cares for them, because you told them something God showed you, that you couldn’t have known.

You will experience people who will be set free and delivered, because you pray for them. By the power of the mighty name of Jesus Christ demons will be cast out of people and the truth they hear will set them free from all kind of bondages. You will even see dead bodies coming to life again, because you pray in obedience to what God shows you. And the person who had an accident and died will come back to life!

Maybe you have never experienced these kind of things in your life yet. But don’t worry, soon you will be the most happy person on earth, because now you will start to experience it! God will come and confirm your words with his power!

Maybe you have experienced these kind of things in your life before. But it has been years since and meanwhile your Christian life became very boring. There is no supernatural power of God manifesting in your life any longer and your life just seems normal. If this is the case you don’t need to worry either... for if this message has triggered an emotion and a fire within you, you will start walking in His footsteps again and things are about to change!

I know you can loose the fire to serve. I know very well you can loose the fire to reach out and touch peoples lives with the power and love of God. I had lost it myself! It is a horrible feeling and a life that is not really worth living anymore! But let me tell you – don’t stop there, you are the wick that God will light up again! Let me pray for you if this is your situation:

“Jesus, you are living in your friend. You know exactly what happened and why the dust settled on the living water inside of your friend’s life. You know why the fire got quenched and the compassion for people vanished, until there is only a boring life left.

Lord, consume your friend afresh! Come Holy Spirit, come with the fire and the power of God and consume everything in your friend’s life afresh - the mind, the feelings, the soul, the spirit, the whole being!”

I see how Jesus stands in front of you and holds a torch of fire in his hand. He gives it to you now and imparts new love, new life and new hope to you. You are afresh carrying his fire and his compassion for people in your hands! And you are ready to run again. But this time you will run even harder and you will be running without stopping anymore!

You know what you are now? You are available!

Decide every new day to be available for your best friend, Jesus!

Having the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the motivator he is your dynamite, the one that makes you have a passion for the lost. He is the one that makes you focus on the command that Jesus is giving to disciple the nations. He gives you a compassion for people so you go and speak to them. He is the driving force that enables you to reach out in any way possible!

Think about the disciples of Jesus. After Jesus had died and all their expectations and plans with him, they were only hiding behind closed doors. Their hearts were filled with fear and grief and they couldn’t understand what was going on. They had no fire to go out and tell everybody about the awesome salvation that is at hand. All passion to go out and tell people about the truth that the Kingdom of God is near and that everybody who believes in the Son of God will be saved had died!  

But suddenly something happened! They had remained together in one place and waited and then the HOLY SPIRIT came and fell on them like tongues of fire! This experience changed them all and a new area began! The wind of God blew in their lives and they were filled with the same Spirit that Jesus had and nothing was the same any longer!  

They all became bold and were suddenly keen on going out! They were filled with fire and dynamic power from on high and nobody and nothing could hold them back anymore! There was no more fear of man. They just obeyed the flame inside their hearts. The only thing they feared and obeyed was the voice of the Holy Ghost, who led them outside their little four walls into the darkness. They went out to bring hope to the hopeless and love to the desperate!

They were filled with such a consuming passion that made them risk everything without compromise. The fire of the Holy Ghost inspired them in such a way that they couldn’t hold back anymore and wanted to go out and tell everybody about the truth of their saviour!

The fire of the gospel had hit them and with it came an uncompromising calling! It was like they heard a constant ringing of bells in their ears to go out and bring salvation and deliverance to the people.

When Peter stood up on Pentecost he was filled by the Holy Spirit that is why he could preach how he preached. All these 3000 souls were saved by the power of the Holy Spirit and his power alone. But they were also saved because one man dared to stand up and open his mouth and be a vessel for God!

Big results were obvious because the disciples of Jesus didn’t crawl into their little whole and were not hiding any longer. They were no longer having their own little social club, their little bubble with believers only. Big results and a huge harvest was brought in because the disciples of Jesus became true followers of their master. They started to take responsibility to disciple all nations. When the fire fell, they took it and ran with it!

The fascinating truth is that it does not matter at all who you are. I mean it does not matter what temperament you have, what age, what you look like, what type of person you are, the background you are coming from… what really matters is: DO YOU HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT?

Because when you have the Holy Spirit you have all you need to be able to present the Gospel in a way that people respond to it. You need no method, you need no concept, you do not even need principles how to speak to people. All these tools do help and we also published a little booklet called “Do you know Jesus?”, that helps you to lead somebody to the Lord, but the essence of all, your dynamite, is the Holy Spirit. With Him in your life you have all the wisdom, love, compassion, courage and cleverness you need in order to speak to people about the most exiting good news in this world!

Imagine someone who really loves something passionately in his life, lets say for example a salesman who sells cars. If a person who is not passionately in love with cars tries to sell a car to somebody, it probably is a bit an awkward and difficult situation! But if you get a professional who knows what he is talking about you will most certainly make a deal!

The Holy Spirit is the professional. If you start sharing Jesus, the Holy Spirit will remind you on everything you have learnt and help you present Jesus to the people. He is the one that feeds you all the information you need to know, gives you every little impression that is necessary and grants you exiting inspiration how to approach people, what to say and ask! Really let me tell you, he is so awesome, you couldn’t get anybody better than him! If you have him in your life you have all you need.

Sometimes you are afraid to talk to people. Sometimes your own doubts and insecurities stand in the way to share with somebody the good news! What you need is to be continually filled by the Spirit of God. God cares so much about people that he didn’t hold back his own son. He is always passionate to save people into his Kingdom of Love. So when you have his Spirit inside of you, THEN you will also be passionate about this and make it the most important thing in your life!

It is so satisfying to know that people get saved, redeemed and cleansed from their sin. There is no greater reward on this earth than to experience this as much as possible in your lifetime. Why don’t you start talking to God and start to think big?! How many people did you lead to the Lord so far? 100? 10? 1? None? It doesn’t matter but after today everything will change! Talk to the Holy Spirit and become dynamite for the Lord!

Let me help you with a prayer here. You can pray something like this:

“Holy Spirit, I really need you! I know that you live inside of me and that you are the Power of God that I need daily to walk out my calling. So I ask you to come afresh today and fill me up completely so that I overflow towards everybody I meet. Holy Spirit, nothing else matters, just fill me, I need you! I want to go out, be bold, speak to people and do what Jesus wants me to do! Holy Ghost let me be a fiery messenger that gives his life for Jesus and Gods purposes! Amen.”

You will see people differently now. You will not act the same way any longer. Your first goal will always be to reach people for the Lord no matter what circumstances you are in. You will use the situations for him and his purposes to set people free and bring them new life!

Preaching the Gospel

As you live your daily life you will find open windows and opportunities from the Lord. You can seize your divine moment and start to obey the voice of God in your life and you will see how the most mundane situations transform into something significant! A person’s life will be  changed because you touched it by the love and the power of God!

How do you touch peoples’ lives? You do it by being available for God, being full of the Holy Spirit and by preaching the Good News! Sometimes you wonder what on earth you should say to this person? It is very easy really. You just preach the gospel!

Paul says:

 “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes”!

In the gospel there lays the power to salvation.

“And what is the gospel?” You might ask yourself.

I know it sounds stupid or funny but the whole concept is so simple that sometimes this is exactly what we ask ourselves!

The gospel is the true story, that God has sent his own son to this earth in order to save us from eternal death and the reality of hell, a place where we will be separated from God in eternity! The gospel means that God found a solution for the problem of sin in our life! The gospel says an innocent man died for you, a guilty sinner, so that you might find reconciliation with God the Father.

The World is lost in the depravity of men and the wickedness of our generation, but God has sent his son not to condemn the World but to save it! He made a way so that everybody who believes will be saved and have eternal life! The gospel is easy, the gospel is simple. A child can understand it. That is how God wanted it, he didn’t want to make a complicated construct of thoughts – he wanted to bring a solution, because he is a gracious God!

We didn’t deserve that he reached down and stretched his loving arms out to us, but he did! We didn’t deserve that he gave us a way out, but he did! What an awesome God that he made a way! Although we human beings would rather be able to do something in order to gain our salvation. This would give us a good feeling. We could be proud of our own efforts. That is the way of Religion and can be found in all the different religions. But God decided to create a better way!

Can you do that? Can you take the tool he has created, as foolish as it might look like? Can you take that tool and speak about it? Yes you can! You can say just as Paul did,

“I’m not ashamed of the gospel because I know that it is the power of God to salvation for everybody who believes!” (Romans 1:16)

As you realize that there is power in this message and that you carry around the truth that has the power to save, you will start to cherish the gospel in your life!

You hold a life ring in your arms and although it might look simple and plain, it still is a life ring! It might not appear very dramatic, appealing or glamorous but it will serve its purpose to save! As you speak up and tell others about the gospel you will see its power revealed and enfolded before your own eyes!

Isn’t it comforting and encouraging to know that God has given you something you can go out with? Next to the power of the Holy Spirit who is the “gas in your tank” so to speak... you also have something else! You hold this life ring in your hands and with every opportunity given to you, you throw it out there so that it might save somebody drowning in the open wide sea!

Do you realize that the only thing you need to do is to throw out the life ring? You do not have to perform something incredible, you do not even have to know everything from the beginning, you just have to use what the Lord has given you as his tool to redeem people from hell and that is the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ!

Start to use your life ring! Start to use it all the time! Start to get comfortable with throwing it out there into the wide open sea. As you learn what it feels like, you will start to love it!

God has made it easy for you. He provided everything you need to be able to tell people about him. He gave you the gospel, containing the power to save. Let all your own ideas go now and get excited about the fact that you are holding in your hand this life ring. You CAN throw it out there into the wide open sea and save those that are about to drown. All those who believe and will hold unto the life ring, will get saved!

It will be unbelievable sad and shocking for you to sometimes see how people just keep on struggling in the deep waters and not taking hold of the life ring that you just threw them. You will feel horrible and sometimes in despair, maybe then you understand how Jesus must have felt when he wept over Jerusalem and said,

“Oh Jerusalem, you didn’t want me to save you!” (adjusted, Luke 13:34)

Your only comfort then will be to hold these people up before the Lord and start to intercede for them and their salvation. God is patient and your prayers will make a difference!

Nevertheless you are a vessel for the Lord. Keep on throwing out the life ring and everybody who believes will hold onto it and will be saved and taken out of the dangerous waters. They will then be put on a new land where they can run!

There are other means God can use to save somebody. You can operate by the gifts of his spirit and for example have a word of knowledge. Jesus operated that way many times. You receive revelation and tell somebody something you could never have known. This will then open them up for the gospel and give your words more weight.

But still in the end it is the gospel that saves them. It is by their faith in the truth you share with them that will save and deliver them!

Are you exited and thrilled about the fact that you hold the gospel, the absolutely important life ring, in your hand? Are you ready to go out there and throw it out in your daily life? Try it and you will experience the power of God for salvation that lies in the gospel! And never be ashamed of it anymore because you hold the life ring in your hand that people need!
